Jim Davey is a worker’s compensation specialist with over 25 years of experience in the field. Jim started his career in Fire Safety and Rescue in the armed services. He later moved to Off Shore construction with responsibilities for Fire Safety and Occupational Health & Safety. Since that time, Jim has held a number of positions across a variety of industries – principally these have been Occupational Health & Safety positions with major civil construction projects, power generation & transmission organisations, and local government.
Jim has spent the past 20 years specialising in Workers Compensation Claims & Occupational Rehabilitation Management, working within federal business enterprise, explosive manufacturing, forestry and underground mining. It was during this time that Jim identified the need for improved worker’s compensation outcomes for employers.
Jim holds a Graduate Diploma in Industrial Relations & Human Resource Management, is an accredited Q-Comp Rehabilitation & Return to Work Coordinator in Queensland, an accredited Claims Administrator in South Australia.
Jim’s industry experience, qualifications, cross border knowledge and ability to practically apply relevant legislation strongly positions him to offer employers valuable insight into workers compensation claims management. Jim’s own desire to improve the workplace for all stakeholders, together with his knowledge and ability to apply the principles of injury management to an industrial setting make a powerful and effective combination for many employers and their staff.
